Marvel HeroClix: Incredible Hulk details from Alliance!

WizKids is proud to announce the release of the Marvel HeroClix: Incredible Hulk Booster Set (WZK 70252), Incredible Hulk OP Kit (WZK 70256), Incredible Hulk 24-count Counter-Top Display (WZK 70481), and Incredible Hulk Fast Forces 6-Pack (WZK 70254)!

Incredible Hulk Booster Set (WZK 70252) - Hulk Smashes his way into this 51 figure set that includes the sub-theme realms of Planet Hulk, World War Hulks, Fall of the Hulks, and the New Fantastic Four! The set features the Enhanced Alter Ego mechanics, which includes the new Reverse Alter-Ego and the continuation of the "In Pack, Buy it By the Brick Figure" (AIMarine Red Hulk)! The Base set is lined up to hit the market on December 7th!

Incredible Hulk 24-Count Counter-Top Display (WZK 70481) - A compilation of 10 figures from the base set all COMPLETELY REDIALED and ready for action in any HeroClix Format! Each Counter-Top Display comes with 24 single figure blind boosters (four bricks of figures), providing a low-cost point of entry for new players and fast convenient way for current players to supplement their collections! The 24-count Counter-Top Display is set to release one week before the base set on November 30th and will make for a great Pre-Release event!

Incredible Hulk Fast Forces 6-Pack (WZK 70254) - Incredible Hulk Fast Forces is the very first 6-pack to feature the HeroClix Online Code Insert, which will be EXCLUSIVELY available in retail stores! Each code unlocks Hulk content on HeroClix online, creating an easy way to connect with friends online and play HeroClix games on a virtual playing field! The 6-pack also features six COMPLETELY REDIALED figures from the base set, two themed dice, a double-sided map, and a rules insert!

The Incredible Hulk Fast Forces will be coming out simultaneously with the Hulk Booster Set on December 7th!

This starts continues a really interesting trend and hopefully start 2 new ones.  First the "new product" release events, almost catered to the retail venues that have a history of Midnight releases.  Getting some new product out there so that players get a feel for the new set before it actually hits will be great fun!

Next, the Fast Forces for each set really get more utility out of each expansion.  Themed maps that are separate from the OP kits, small jump on points for each set that players can use to get their buddies into the game as well.

That last bit, integrating Online play with material purchases is the only way I was going to keep up with HeroClix Online.  This is really a good plan on Wizkid's part.

The Marvel HeroClix: Incredible Hulk Organized Play Kit contains everything a retailer needs to bring HeroClix players into their store for weekly events - including new limited edition figures, 3-D objects, maps, and more!

* Each OP Kit include prizes to run 10 weeks of events, with each week giving away prizes for 1st, a fellowship drawing, and a judge reward. A suggested schedule and format guide makes it easy for stores to run HeroClix organized play for the first time.

* Stores purchase Marvel HeroClix: Incredible Hulk Organized Play Kits directly from their distributor. Retailers may purchase Incredible Hulk OP Kits as follows (all case numbers below are cumulative cases ordered per retail store location):

2 Incredible Hulk Cases -- 1st OP Kit
7 Incredible Hulk Cases -- 2nd OP Kit
12 Incredible Hulk Cases -- 3rd OP Kit
No retail store location may order more than three OP Kits total.

* The Marvel HeroClix: Incredible Hulk Organized Play Kit is marked "NOT FOR RESALE".

* The OP Kit includes a suggested tournament schedule and prize distribution format. Events do not need to be recorded or reported, and store owners ultimately determine how events in their store will run and how the kits are used.

* Stores are not required to have an envoy or judge present to run an event. However, we invite retailers to use all available resources to run a successful event (including envoys), and the OP Kit includes material to reward such assistance.

* OP Kit Contents (OP Kit contents subject to Licensor Approval, contents may change):

* 12 Limited Edition figures. All LE figures have different paint jobs from the normal versions of the figures! (3 copies of 4 different figures, each with character card).

* 8 3-D objects. All objects have a special game effect! (2 different 3-D objects, 3 Gamma Bombs objects and 5 Globes)

* 10 2-sided Maps (24" x 36"). There are four different map designs. All four can be connected to form the SHIELD Hellicarrier! (this could be a typo)

* 1 Organized Play Instruction Sheet

So for OP, we are seeing much of what we are used to.  Retailers get he option to buy (more of) them still, a suggested use, 3 copies each of 4 repaint/re-stat LE's, some special objects and maps.  The map info may be left over from Copy and Pasting the Cap press release, but any hint at multiple maps is great news.  And see that continued emphasis on the retail venues to do what they can to make the event successful.

We will soon see how this integrates into the 8 month long Infinity Gauntlet event series which kicks off in January, during the Hulk event cycle.

I know that superman is still 4 weeks away, but now I am really excited to see what December brings with Marvel HeroClix: The Incredible Hulk.
