DC HEROCLIX BLACKEST NIGHT STARTER SET

The War of the Light comes to HeroClix with the DC HeroClix Blackest Night Starter Game! As the Blackest Night encompasses the world, heroes and villains alike are deputized into the Lantern Corps to fight back against the legions of Black Lanterns. Choose a team of lanterns and take them into battle! This starter game includes everything a player needs to play HeroClix, including figures, map, rules and more.

• Seven 3D HeroClix miniatures, each with a character card (Green Lantern, Lex Luthor, Mera, Scarecrow, Wonder Woman, The Flash and The Atom in their deputy lantern costumes)
• All-new Green Lantern Sciencells Map
• 2010 HeroClix Complete Rulebook
• Six Object Tokens
• Twelve Terrain Markers
• Two 6-sided dice

It has been no secret what the Starter would be based on, but the character choices are pretty cool! The individual point values will probably be higher for each figure than previous Starters. As usual, expect more details as the release date approaches.

Update 1: added that snazzy picture that HCRealms member "Vectin" made by combining an image from Final Night #5 and the Starter Teaser from Wizkids.

Update 2: Wizkids previewed the Hal Jordan Green Lantern figure of their website.

Updated Players Guide and a new LOS tool from the RA

Yesterday's Normal Distribution had another great set of examples on Line of Fire as well as another Challenge.

But more than that, at the very bottom are links to the new update of the Players Guide (Unrestricted is now 91 pages long) and a simple to use tool on LOF. I would encourage every one to check these out.

Australian distributor leaks some information on battle packs

Australian distributor of HeroClix, Ikons, has several items updated on their website today. these items appear to be early stage solicits for HeroClix battle packs.

1st up is the most likely to see the light of day. The Marvel Iron Man Armor Wars Battle Pack, a collection of Iron Man related characters using previous sculpts and potentially updated powers.

Next likely to see the light of day is the Heroclix - Freddy Vs Jason FVJ Forest of Fear Game. This appears to utilize the sculpts from the previously released Freddy vs. Jason HorrorClix release, retooled for use with HeroClix.

Last, as seemingly most unlikely, is a set of Gremlins figures as Gremlins, Gizmo's Great Escape Game. Now this one is kinda out there. The solicit shows previously released Gremlins figures that are photoshopped onto Clix style dials for the mock-package.

Take this information with a grain of salt, early solicits and product leaks are always prone to change.

The Griffon, the longest continually operating gaming store in the area, has a brand new website.
